In keeping with Spine-health’s objective to provide you with a comprehensive, highly informative and useful resource for musculoskeletal conditions, Spine-health’s publisher, Veritas Health, is starting a new patient-centric initiative, tentatively titled “Patient Stories.”

Do you have a story about thriving while living with a chronic inflammatory illness? That would include:
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid Arthritis
• Fibromyalgia
• Ankylosing Spondylitis
• And others as listed at Arthritis-health.com

If you’re in the Chicagoland area, we would like to speak with you about participating in a new video interview series for our websites (Spine-health.com, Arthritis-health.com, and Sports-health.com).

You can contact us at
patientstories@veritashealth.com or sending a private message to patientstories
with your name and location to learn more.

Thank you for helping Veritas Health and being an active member of our vibrant Spine-health.com community.

Hi, I am new to this site so "Hello hope and pray you all are coping "! I was struck by this disabling pain in 2000 and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2010 , have been on powerful pain meds. for a long time and have gone the gamut of all of them it has been a long journey and 10 personal doctors plus a multitude of specialist all wanting to cure me but I am now resigned to the fact that this is my life now!! Now I just try to manage the pain as best as I can!! My biggest problem is to afford these drugs, my latest one is the Butran patch which is working somewhat and it is very expensive and has used up my coverage already, it makes it so frustrating which in turn does not help alleviate the pain!! If anyone knows of a plan I can go on to cover me please let me know, I live in Saskatchewan, Canada, thank you for letting me harp!!

  • Have you tried searching online for medication discounts. Many manufacturers offer discounts on their medications through programs that help people afford their prescriptions. Usually typing in the name of the medication with the word discounts will bring up the sites for you. I know how hard it is finding a medication regimen that works. I've battled fibromyalgia for almost  20 years now. I was also diagnosed with systemic lupus in 2012 and celiac this year. Alll linked to the autoimmune disorders and autonomic nervous system dysfunctions. The biggest thing is to not give up. Live for your good days, and work through your bad. Epson salt baths do help with the pain. Hope this helps some.

Hello, I have Fibro, Gout Arthritis as well as a few other things. I started getting bad nueropathy when myself bosses wife told me about Mary's tea. It's an herbal remedy. I started taking it and I no longer have neuropathy. Myself pain from myself arthritis even went away. I take Lyrica and Meloxicam so I'm not saying that It's a replacement got drugs but it sure helps them work. It's herbs that come loose in an envelop. The only problem I had with it was when we were in vacation and I wasn't straining it. I started itching really bad. I stopped it got a few days and was fine. Hope this helps anyone out there who still have neuropathy and pain even with Lyrics.

Before you try any supplement, herb, over the counter item, exercise program, mechanical aid, brace, etc always consult with your doctor to make sure you get their approval. This also includes any specific diets.
Some of these products may be very effective, but no two individuals or medical conditions are alike. What works for one, may cause trouble for another..
