The sound of tires on a gravel driveway when someone you love has finally arrived.

  • Hearing my husband's sleeping sounds after he's been through nights of sleepless, pain-ridden hell with the peeping of the chicks quieting down in the background...there's a certain symbiosis to that...

Finally seen this post come back around....I'm sure I have lots, but I'm also sure I won't remember them all.....

    : Hearing my sons' voices

: Voices of my parents, siblings

    : A child's laughter

    : Purring kittens/cats

    : sounds of puppies

: Meat sizzling on a grill (not a big meat eater, but I love an occasional beef steak, plus the smell is to die for!!!)

    : Songs of worship

    : Classic Rock

: symphony of loons, frogs, and crickets

: beer can opening by a crackling bonfire (took your listing priority advice Sooverit ; )

    :Sounds of tractors working

:Hot air balloons (from the ground, don't want to be in that basket way up there!)

    :All the appliances working correctly

:Affirmation of being appreciated (just a call from friends says it all!)

:Reassurance after a surgery, that things went well

:When the sound of flatulence heard in public isn't mine ; )

Lol, sheri! The relief of knowing that stinker ain't yours, lol!!!

HAHAHA...OH MY.  Better to bear the shame than bear the pain, as they say...My husband will let one in the store and run--leaving me alone in the aisle to deal with the scowls and "What the hell is wrong with you?" dirty looks from other shoppers.  No worries, though, he's gotten paybacks for THAT. :p

In all seriousness, love all of these additions to the list!!!

Ha Kimmy....my ex husband (nothing to do why we divorced : ) but sometimes shopping, usually in clothing isles??? but usually were more of the silent and deadly ones....I began to wonder if he had intentionally planned his diet on those days, in hopes of me not wanting to go shopping with him again. Ha! But in all fairness, I can be the stinker like Sooverit says, and aging has a way of that all surprising even yourself at times! No warnings to get worried about!!
