I was experiencing really bad stabbing pain headaches around three of four times a year.  Finally after I was being told I had migraines, a doctor said he knew what I had.  Occipital Nueralgia (inflammation of the nerves that run from the top of the spinal cord up through the scalp).  He prescribed Gabapentin, and it went away after three pills.  I called to tell him how grateful I was.

When you say it went away, did it permanently go away after the 3 pills? Or did you have to continue taking it and you started having relief after the 3rd pill?
