New 2 level lumbar spinal fusion and laminectomy
I had 2 spinal surgeries. Spinal fusion lateral with instrumentation. And posterior fusion, plus laminectomy. L 3 4 and L 4 5. Surgery performed on 2 different days, July 2 and July 3 2016. I am 65 years old. I had spondylolisthesis and spinal stenosis. I had no choice but to have surgery as I was losing ability to walk, leg and foot were going so numb upon standing, walking. I had very little pain. So, surgery fixed the numbness. I am walking fine unassisted. My issues are low stamina, feel tired. Also this is weird, but I have intense hot flashes since surgery! I hope my issues are short lived. Any input onto my next steps to move the process would be appreciated. I walk, I go places, I get tired. So I'm thinking I should rest more. But I also want to keep moving. Not sure what right balance between walking, activity and rest. I've been told I over do it. I don't take pain meds. Thanks for input, as I move ahead in my recovery.
