Had fusion now have a herniated disc in same place

I had a fusion of my l4and l5 in February, he said I had a sist on my disc so he took it out and fused it. But now since I have been in a lot of pain he has said I have a herniated disc in my l4 and l5. So now I am schedule for surgery again. Has anyone else experience this same problem?

    oh no!!!  i'm sorry to hear that your fusion didn't "take"!!!  i'm just a tad confused, though--since the disc is technically gone, is it the cage where the fusion was performed that became dislocated?  when is your next surgery, and what did the surgeon say is going to be done?
