Need Advice!

Hello everyone!

I am a 22 year old female.

I was just recently in a car accident exactly a month ago today, I was t-boned on my passenger side. The other driver ran the red light and my car was totaled. I've been going to a chiropractor/pain management doctor for about 3 weeks now. Got an MRI 2 weeks ago and my first ESI Monday, MRI results show that I have 3 herniated discs in my neck (C3/4, C5/6, C6/7) and 1 in my lower back (L5/S1). I no longer have reflexes in any of my arms or legs, which i was told indicated nerve damage.

The first two days after the injection were great, very little pain/numbness and I could walk! I did the lower back first because it hurt the worst.  I know the steroids take time but i feel as if i'm back to square one. My left side was numb and tingly before the ESI and now it just feels weak and i'm starting to have muscle spasms in both legs. I was prescribed Tylenol/codeine, ibuprofen and flexirl but they don't even touch the pain. I'm afraid to try stronger pain meds.

I go to the chiro 3 times a week and have been adjusted 3 times, but it has done nothing for me. I almost feel my doctors aren't taking this seriously and the pain has really affected my life and relationship. The pain management doctor told me that the ESI's have a 50/50 success rate, so i'm really hoping this works. Everyone i've spoken with has told me to avoid surgery because i'm so young, but i'm not quite sure what to do anymore. The pain is constant and i'm worried about permanent damage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
