sometimes it takes a little while for things to settle down after a surgery...many here have had the surgery and can fill in the gaps as to whats happening and approximate timelines for results

Hi darkmamma!! Yes, give it time, it's only been a week.
The most important thing is don't rush it. Take it easy, take care of yourself and follow your doctor's orders. All of that will be beneficial in the long run.
The pain should start subsiding soon as long as you don't overdo it.
Take care, let us know how you're doing.
