Almost 4 months post surgical

I am looking for advice. I was diagnosed with Cervical Spondylosis and Degenerative Myopathy and had to undergo emergency surgery on July 22, 2016. At the time I had become paralyzed in my right arm. I underwent home therapy and have gained some movement. I am numb still from my elbow to my thumb and 1st digit. I do not know what it feels like to be "pain free" anymore. I cannot sleep in my bed nor on the couch comfortably without waking up feeling paralyzed. Anyone have any advice on what I can do to rest comfortably? Any advice on best pillows and mattress? What can I do to ease my pain and help regain function again? I prefer any natural solutions but open to any advice. Thank you in advance and I look forward to any responses.

I have slept on a recliner since I had surgery. Best sleep since the op, I can manage an hour or two in bed, but always end up in my chair.
