I feel very fortunate because I had little adverse reaction from the anesthesia, which I have had in the past.  My neck and shoulder are much better but there is still numbness in my right hand and forearm.  NS says that can take some time.  My hip hurts a lot and I am having trouble with constipation.  If I reduce my pain meds, I can't move that hip.  However, I am so constipated.  I can only eat soft foods for now.  Any suggestions?  Miralx is not working.   Generic vegtable laxitive not working either.  Suggestions?

Great to hear from you!! I'm glad everything went ok, especially with anesthesia.
Hate to tell you, good old prune juice or ex-lax. But that is what I finally to take after nothing else worked.
Take care and don't rush into anything.

Had an ACDF c6/c7 in 2013. (ARD c5/c6 the year before) Pre ACDF surgery, I had massive pain in my right elbow area. Post surgery, that same elbow area went numb. I could not use my right arm the day after the surgery. CT scan showed nerve was fine. Very scary. The numbness is better today, but still not 100%. Doubt if it ever does.
