Need Orthopedic Surgeon Who Takes Medicaid!!!

Hi.  I am new here to this forum.  I have a 25 yr. old daughter that was just recently diagnosed with Scoliosis and Arthritis of the Spine.  We live in SW Florida (near Ft. Myers) and, cannot find one Orthopedic Doc that takes Straight Medicaid!!!  This has been a nightmare for our family as our daughter is suffering and needs help. Does anyone know of a competent Ortho Doc that specializes in Scoliosis here in SW Florida???  Thank You for any help you can offer as we are concerned her condition will worsen.

    hello susan629 !
we are not permitted to name doctors or to name facilities.
have you tried working with a social worker for what kind of resources may be available to you?

sometimes social workers are in your county, free of charge, of course.
or nearby hospital has social workers who should be willing to,work with you.

have you tried communicating with a teaching hospital?
often times in calling hospitals, they are able to give you a list of doctors and their specialties.
does your primary doctor have anyone she/he can refer you to?

please click on link for helpful information!
