  • Hello Kim,

I had two level acdf three months ago.  I am stiff, stiff and more stiff all the time.  I wish someone would tell us both what to do.  Tell you what though, would never have had this surgery if I knew what I know now.  I manage now with Ice, meds stretching and a whole lot of crying.  The best description I can say about the stiffness is like someone threw a heavy wet blanket across my neck and shoulders and it is just weighing me down.  How does that sound to you?

Its been close to 40 years dealing with the stiffness.   Most of the time, its at its worst in the morning.
Each person has a different situation.  I am dealing both with spinal surgeries, joint surgeries and advancing Osteoarthritis.

For the spine, its following approved stretching and simple exercises from my therapist.  For the rest, I am using some natural herbs plus various foods that help with inflammation.

Still, the best.   When I wake up, IF I had about 1 hour before I actually had to get out of bed, that would provide a good head start on the day
