USING SUBOXONE FOR CHRONIC PAIN.

I am a disabled vet and have been on pain meds for 17 years with out any issues with addiction .. But today's news of opium CRISIS . CAN be challenging  to chronic  pain sufferers getting affordable meds and the right level of medication and much needed prn meds for flare ups.. In today fast past world just can't take off too many days from work or not be productive..
I was challenged  with medication change due to a battle with cancer and affordability  of prior medications that worked great but with side effects and high cost from doctors bills to pain specialist cost.. BE AWARE TRY NOT TO CHANGE OR HAVE ANY DOCTOR CHANGE MEDS THAT WORK ENLESS OFFORDABLE OPTIONS OR NOT PRESENT..
DUE To the fact many doctor's  are not pain specialist and are more focused on there practice then you paid  level and frankly don't understand it and constantly  trying to save you from the in their words the dangerous  medications that are so additive they have to save you from yourself...
.. I had this happen to me when I couldn't get doctor to increase meds to proper levels even to. Levels I was on prior and had to get a attorney  to solve this issue as I was being labeled as having an addiction  problems when I was demanding increases to meet my pain levels..., b
Again misunderstood  by this TREAND OF OPIUM CRISIS...
BUT THERE IS GOOD NEWS GUYS TO THIS STORY... PART OF GETING HELP LEGALLY  I AGREED TO DRUG TREATMENT USED MOSTLY FOR ADDICTION..... SUBOXONE... To my surprise  it worked better than morphine.. OXI. Than fyntinel patches...
When used with other non opium  medications it can MANAGE HIGH LEVELS OF PAIN  in cost effective way...
Just getting over the thought that it's a med used for addition  but if ones
Pain levels are under control and better quality  of life and is cost effective.. Who cares what the drug is used for....

Not for every one but  it is easier to get med,  doctors usually  are addiction  specialist  so they are more offordable and more of them than paid  specialist.. Not for every one but I suffered for 17 years with 100 fyntinel patches every 48 hours  to hand full of morphine pills daily.. Again never a addiction  problem or med abuse just under medicated or affordabilty became an issue after the affordable care act..
GIVE IT A CHANCE guys SUBOXONE
works if used with other non opium meds.. Geting over the stigma  that the drug is used for drug addiction to me was the hardest part and why I refused to even try it.... Hope this helps some one out there who going broke chasing meds,  doctors and dealing with panic doctor that fears your addicted to meds when you just in PAIN!!!
Give a try guys I will say I don't have side effect of sleep or in fog that I wasn't even aware of... Feel like I am waking up from a comma because I having emotional I did t have for years,  all a good thing so for some counseling  may be an issue or you may find your a nicer person and actual repair a relationship... I am very happy and have return to college and doing well with work and keeping a job part time even with chronic  pain.. Hope it helps but I can't express the improve quality of life again not due to addiction but again who cares what they call it if the pain is put aside we all happy not suffering 24 hours a day counting pills and wasting time and money  with high end doctors... I got that monkey of my back!!!

  • Glad it worked for you, but suboxone is as addictive as other opiates and many say harder to stop than most others.
For some people they have had decent pain relief on it, for others not so much, as it is with every opiate. What works for one, may not work for another.

  • It's great to hear you're doing better now with Suboxone. I took Methadone for chronic pain until I had a pain pump implanted. There was no withdrawals at all since they slowly weaned me off while increasing the pain pump medicine.
