Chest pain that feels like elephant on your chest

I am in no way suggesting this isn't more serious or that you shouldn't take it as such.
But I had t4 to l5 fusion on March 9 and started having horrible chest pain. I was very worried.  I ended up in urgent care for an allergic reaction and told them about the chest pain, the did an EKG I think it's called and out was fine, turns out she thinks it's reflux and gas, she said to take omerprazole otc and simrthicone gas relief. I never knew gas could feel like that,  it feels like I could've been having a heart attack, it gets so bad mostly in the middle of the night early morning. It's very painful and I can feel it in my back too.

That's just what happened to me so thought I'd share.

I'm sorry you are dealing with all that though, hopefully the chest pains are not serious and maybe something else.  I know since having surgery it seems it's causing all kinds of other stuff to go wrong.

  • I had a herniated disc at T10-T11 and 3 degenerative discs at T7-T10, its from the thoracic area. I had the chest pains, pain between the shoulders blades and the pain even wrapped around my ribs. It was excruciating pain....

My doctors are saying it can be related but that it is acid reflux . They put me on an a medication. I found not eating at night helps. The reflux hasn’t gon away and they put me on medical Marjuana and my flare ups have gone away completely. It’s amazing I haven’t needed any strong pain or prednisone meds at all since medical MJ.  Just wish the grinding and chest pain would stop. Also my bone isn’t healing in my cervical fusion so I have a bone stimulator to wear for 4 hours a day for 6 months. It’s a pain to remember and wear but I’ll try it. If not I need metal plates in my neck cause the force is pushing on all the other sad discs.
