Bulging disc

Hi i was being diagnosed with L5/s1 disc bulge its been 4 months now though the pain has subsided but few days back it started again and took a week off to subside i do get physiotherapies,acupressure and mckenzie xcercises focussing on my diet as well.Some people are telling to start working /job 9hrs??else it will take over my mind and some are sayingto rest. What am i supposed to do. Will dis pain go on its own if i start working or shud i stay at partial rest ?

  • It's hard to say..it depends on a number of factors including the severity of the bulge, any accompanying spinal issues like DDD, and the biggest..existing nerve compression. It is possible that the bulging disc will heal in time or act up periodically. Working is still possible if the job is sedentary or non strenuous. Are you seeing a spine specialist and what treatments have you tried for it?
