Quadratus Lumborum

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has low back pain due to a weak/injured quadratus lumborum.   I'm 33 and I first aggravated my back as I was lifting a heavy lady in a dance show.
It Feels like very sore, but not so much pain. I've been having this problem for almost 8 months and haven't had any improvement , i don't have any relief from stretching, exercise , massage, and pain medication.  Any advice or similar problems out there in the interwebs??

  • sounds similar to some of the symptoms I have. Take a look on youtube and search for myofascial release. Tons of tutorials on how to get the ql to relax and release. I still have yet to figure out how to get it relaxed, but maybe you will fair better. Also check out the psoas muscle, another huge culprit in low back pain. Good luck

Have you been seen by your PCP yet? Did doctor give you the diagnosis of weak/injured quadratus lumborum?
Curious what doctor had to say about treatment and prognosis...?
Is your PCP providing prescriptions for your pain medications? ..or have you been seen by a pain management doctor?
Did doctor give you any limitations or restrictions with your activities and or your work?
