Norco/Hydrocodone/Vicodin Chronic Dry Mouth

How many of you who manage your pain with Norco (aka) Hydrocodone experience chronic dry mouth?

I have recently had to resume taking Norco, and after about one month of daily use, I am suffering from dry mouth.
My dosage has been relatively low at 5 Mg in the morning and 5 Mg in the evening.

I have taken it at this level in the past and do not remember having this happen.

Please limit your responses to Norco/Hydrocodone/Vicodin users only.

Thanks for your help!

  • It's an opioid thing.  Doesn't matter if it Hydrocodone, Norco or Vicoden.  All opioid medications can cause dry mouth.  Some have it, some don't.  Dentists can prescribe certain toothpastes to chronic dry mouth patients so that the extra fluoride will protect your teeth.
