Nerve regeneration pain

I fractured my T12 about 1 year ago in an ATV accident. As a result the sensory nerves in the outside of both my thighs were injured. My thighs are numb for the most part (I can feel pressure and pain if pressed hard enough, but cannot feel if someone scratches, rubs, etc. my thighs)  Recently, I have had a burning sensation at night in my thighs along with pain. It lasts for about 1 hour. Nothing helps (Motrin, aspirin, etc) has anyone experienced this? If so, is there anything to relieve the pain? Also, why the burning sensation?  Thank you in advance.

    Hello georgiabrown!

Gentle reminder...there a no medical professionals here on discussion forums.
While waiting for responses from members with shared experiences, their reasons for their symptoms may not be your causes, but may be a good point to question your doctor about.

I am curious.....what did your doctor say about your change in symptoms?
Also, wondering what kind of doctor is working with you? ..PCP? ..or pain management?...other spinal specialist?
