Microdiscectomy. L5s1

I am new to he forum site.

I had had a microdiscectomy just over a year ago. I was then pain free for around 8 month. Over the past 4 months   The pain had been unbearable . I'm managing to walk around 5 steps.  The pain is all in my right leg. From groin. Into my foot. From just sheer ache. To numbness and tingling all over my leg. I have been referred to neurosurgeon for an urgent appointment. I have tried physio. And every sort of pain killer. Just wondering how many people have had a microdiscectomy twice. And if there is any other type of surgery they can do to prevent it happening again.
