Dr. Michael Hisey, MD, Denton, TX, 76208
Michael Hisey, M.D. an orthopedic surgeon at Texas Back Institute and currently serves as Medical Director. Dr. Hisey specializes in Spinal surgery and focuses on using the most advanced techniques available to treat his patients. Dr. Hisey earned his Medical Degree from the University of California in San Diego and then completed a Surgical Residency and Orthopedic Surgical Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Hisey spent time in Austria working on his Trauma Fellowship at the University Clinic for Traumatology and joined Texas Back Institute in 1999 after completing the Texas Back Institute Fellowship in Spinal Surgery.
Dr. Hisey is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Industrial Liaison Fellow for the University Of California, San Diego and the Principal Investigator for several studies including Artificial Disc Trials. Dr. Hisey is currently the Chairman of the Board of Managers for the Presbyterian Hospital of Flower Mound, the Vice Chairman for the Department of Surgery at Denton Regional Medical Center and the Medical Director for the SpineMark Clinical Research Organization at Texas Back Institute. Dr. Hisey serves as a consultant to several device manufacturers and has been involved in the development of several currently used devices and techniques.
Dr. Hisey currently sees patients at the Texas Back Institute locations in Denton and Plano. Additionally, he will see patients in Flower Mound when the new clinic opens around December of 2010.
