  • He attained the rank of Colonel prior to retiring from the military in 2019. He trained at the top military medical center in the U.S. After, he deployed to the Middle East in support of brave U.S. soldiers and worked in Landstuhl, Germany at the U.S. military receiving hospital for those injured in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
  • His passion for spine surgery includes research, education and most importantly clinical care. He is now the Chair of the Mayo Clinic Division of Spine Surgery at Mayo Clinic.
