    Dr. John C. Drygas is a board certified Neurosurgeon. He was born and raised in New York where he graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. He then attended graduate school at New York University where he studied Immunology and Molecular Biology.

    Dr. Drygas is a graduate of Albany Medical College in New York, receiving his Medical Degree in 2001. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis with research interest in vaccines for brain tumors. In 2008, Dr. Drygas relocated to Florida to begin his clinic at Florida Spine Institute and is involved in developing the Florida Spine Neuro Center at Largo Medical Center.

    Dr. Drygas is a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, American Association of Neurological Surgeons. His areas of interest include minimally invasive treatment of neck and back pain, including cervical and lumbar disc replacement for motion preservation.

    Dr. Drygas offers state of the art therapy for the treatment of brain tumors involving both surgery and radio surgery. In addition, conditions such as vertebral compression fractures, facial pain, and normal pressure hydrocephalus are treated regularly.
