After an 8 years practice at Beth Israel Medical Center Dr. Bitan was offered to head the department of Spinal Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.
Dr. Fabien Bitan, whose primary expertise is spinal deformities, has developed a practice based on traditional spinal procedures and has been a strong force in helping develop innovative techniques. Since 2000, Dr. Bitan has been designated by the FDA to use the SB Charite artificial disc in New York and most of the Northeast. Lenox Hill has now become one of the major training centers for surgeons willing to learn this technology. Dr. Bitan offers his patients various minimally invasive treatment approaches for the spine. He is a faculty member of a minimally invasive training center, is in charge of the Clinical Research Program at the Spine Institute and leads several prospective studies on innovative technologies.
