Dr. Ruoff is a board certified orthopaedic spine surgeon with Spine Centers of America who has a special interest in minimally invasive procedures and osteoporotic compression fractures. Patient care includes conservative care as well as the performance of surgical procedures when indicated.
Dr. Ruoff began private practice in 1993 at Orthopaedic Associates after completing his training. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Board of Spine Surgeons. He received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. He received his medical doctorate with honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic surgery at Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education, St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. Following his residency, Dr. Ruoff underwent fellowship training in spinal surgery at the Texas Back Institute, one of the most respected and multidisciplinary spine centers in the country.
Dr. Ruoff is affiliated with the Valley Hospital of Ridgewood, New Jersey and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey as well as the SurgiCare of Fair Lawn and Englewood Cliffs. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, New Jersey Orthopaedic Society, American Board of Spinal Surgeons and the American Spinal Injury Association as well as the Bergen County Medical Society.
Dr. Ruoff has been appointed a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Seton Hall Graduate School of Medical Education and is an active teacher in the field of orthopaedic spine surgery with special interest in osteoporotic compression fractures.
Dr. Ruoff strives to provide the best, appropriate care for each and every one of his patients. Each patient is unique in their needs and it is essential to determine what their needs are in order to achieve the optimal results.
