James D. Cable, M.D. is currently their Medical Director for the renowned CoPE (Conquering Pain Effectively) program. Dr. Cable earned his Bachelors Degree and Medical Degree from Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then continued with a residency at the University of Texas Affiliated Hospitals in Houston, TX.

Prior to joining the Texas Back team, Dr. Cable was the Medical Director at BackWeRCs. Dr. Cable has received many honors in his medical career including, accreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, certification by he Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, Chairman of the Education Committee for the Texas Health Research Institute and the Chairman of Residency Admissions Committee’s Family Practice Residency at the University of Texas in Houston. Dr. Cable is dedicated to helping patient’s manager back pain on a day to day basis.
