Dr. Neel Mehta, a co-director of The Spine Center, is the Medical Director of the Pain Medicine Center at Weill Cornell and NewYork-Presybterian Hospital.
Dr. Mehta specializes in minimally invasive procedures to treat musculoskeletal pain, including various types of injections, intrathecal pump therapy, spinal cord stimulation, and the MILD© procedure (minimally invasive lumbar decompression) for spinal stenosis.
He is actively involved in spinal cord stimulation research and has published numerous textbook chapters on cancer pain, back pain, and spinal cord stimulation.
Dr. Mehta is board-certified in anesthesia and is fellowship-trained and board-certified in interventional pain medicine. He has expertise in musculoskeletal pain of the back, neck, and joints as well as in neuropathic disorders and cancer pain.
