Hi I am new as you can tell. I have lower back disc issues as well as cervical. Today I picked up radiologist report and it says I have a nerve root sleeve cyst or synovial cyst on c-6-c-7. I see the doc on Monday. But cannot wait to find out what it is and what is tx if any. I am in so much pain but have had it for 3 yrs and have so many silly answers. Fibro and Chronic Fatigue and collapsed discs. But the cyst I wonder if it could be the cause of any of my problems.
ALso just wanted to say hi to all you pain warriors. I know we live a differnt life due to the pain. At least on that front I know I am not alone.
If anyone has any idea at all it would be most welcom.

Thank you,
Deena

  • Hi Deena,

Welcome to Spine Health. One of our moderators (Paul) could probably share a bit about having a synovial cyst and point you towards a few threads where other members discuss theirs.

  • Hi Dina , I too am not familiar with that diagnosis but have issues in the same area of the neck and more. I'm guessing it means a cyst on the tissues around the nerve but that's just my guess! Anway, I would ask what are your symptoms- based on where it is it might be easy to compare notes about that area. I have fought it but I have fibro which is more of an all over floating pain. Where the nerve pain is has more of a pattern I think. Its hard figuring it out. I can totally relate.
  • Sorry Deena, I don't have experience with synovial cysts. but I just wanted to say welcome to spine-health.

This article talks about synovial cysts in the lumbar spine. I'm not sure what the difference would be in teh c-spine, but here is a link to some information.

Surviving chronic pain one day at a time, praying for a reprieve because living another 40 years like this doesn't sound too fun!
