I had my first epidural steroid injection L4L5 this past Friday in the short procedure unit of the hospital where I work. No pain at all. Very quick and efficient. When I woke up this morning I had no twinge of sciatica pain. However, I went shopping today for several hours, and my hip pain returned. Wonder how it will feel tomorrow...

  • maryellen- sounds like the ESI helped out alot. I had a series of 3 usually when I got the injections so you may feel even better. I never had too much luck with my lumbar injections. I would ask about activity levels after the next injection. Maybe the shopping just aggravated the muscle but if there is a problem, maybe call the drs office. I think I was told to ice the area on and off after my ESIs.... :) jade
