I was diagnosed with scoliosis in my early teens, but have had no major issues until the last three years when I started having headaches, which were finally attributed to DDD in C5C6. It kind of resolved itself after a year or so of excruciating headaches and I have been pain free for the most part, for a few years. This week I fell coming into work (ice or water on the steps) and I am already having trouble with Workman’s Comp, but I finally was able to get her to write me out of work and to do an x-ray. She sent me back to teach in one of the most dangerous high schools in Philadelphia with pain so bad I could hardly stand and with restrictions that made teaching impossible -- things like no reaching above my head, no bending or twisting, no climbing stairs, and I was to stand, sit, and walk in thirty minute rotations. You would have thought I was stealing the crown jewels by forcing her to write me out. Enough bawling about that, I've had my wa wa now. On to the reason I am posting (lol, about time huh?) The Physicians Assistant I have to see said I had two fused lumbar discs? Now I have never had back surgery and have never heard of discs fusing on their own. Does anyone have any clue what she might be trying to say? I'm in excruciating pain and everyone is treating me like a criminal. I guess I better get used to it and keep squeaking as load as I can and quit caring what anyone thinks.
