Hi, :)))
newbie here that was just wondering if anyone out there has had thoracic spine surgery. my t6 & t7 has small herniations and t8,t9 has large disc bulging, all of these are pressing in the spinal cord. i have so much pain and numbness everyday and pain medication is no longer helping.
i had cervical fusion on c4&5 in april '07, it has moved down farther with a vengence! i was scedualed for injections
but declined..they never helped my neck and i guess i didn't want to go that route again. if anyone has had surgery in this area please give me some info, and if you was pleased with the outcome. thanxs so much & god bless! O:)

  • Welcome to spine-health lyndie!
There is a fourm called upper back thoracic you may want to post your story there. There has been surgeries at this area. Alot of drs tend to lean away as long as possible on doing anytype of thoracic surgery..
Remember all information we give you is from our own personal experiences with these issues and not medical advice.
I have a large hernitaion at T1 w/ severe sac compression and mild cord compression along with small herniations the rest of the way down..so I can realate to some of your pain.
So go ahead and post there it will get more hits
    Take care!!!
