I know this must sound crazy...but when I started my medical leave at my job in Oct/07, then finally forced to resign for not being able to perform the duties of being a nurse in Dec...I never felt that would be permenant. I never went after short term disability (which I paid for thru my paycheck) nor LTD which the hospital provided for us. Why did I never think of that? I feel so stupid. I ended up applying for SSD and just "heard" thru my attorney that I won, but now is it too late to go back and get what I should have been getting thru LTD? I hope some of you have answers! It was like a light bulb going off 2 nights ago! My attorney's website has a link to a good LTD attorney...would you recommend me doing this? Our debt is so bad now...going from making 50-70k a year to nothing has destroyed us. What do you all think? I tried calling the hospital and left a message. I thank you in advance for being so patient with all my questions.
