I've had 3 injections so far this year from my Pain management Dr. and I know the epidural(caudal)injections help with sciatica. I've had good relief from these past 3 injections about 75% but of course still take Cymbalta and other meds for the pain, now I'm going tomorrow for my 4th epi injections and still concerned that she wants to give me 6 injections total this year. I wonder if getting them will make the pain stay away longer or even help more?
I have osteopenia and concerned about so much steroids yet I want results from the epidurals. I'm also getting facet joint injections and nerve blocks in my hip, upper butt and SI joints and still have back pain. I take Oxycontin before my shots and oxazepam to help during the injections yet I feel everything and it's painful. I wish I could have conscious sedation I really think it's torture not to have sedation. All the 3 PM Drs I've been to offer nothing.
I'm so sensitive I think I'll take a percocet before also just to see if that may help more. I'm trying not to be so nervous..Positive thoughts and prayers if you believe in them for tomorrow at 10 am. Thanks everyone for your support. Charry
