Hubby says he feels like a dating service

So many guys around his age have been watching his progress from his fusion and stop to chat with him while he is walking. (Trying to discourage that as he should not be standing long). Anyhow they ask him for details, how he is feeling, marvel that he can walk without any pain and is not on pain pills and then ask him for the name and phone number of our surgeon. It's rather amusing and he is thinking of charging a commission or finder's fee.

  • Sounds like he is a very good commercial for that surgeon.
Perhaps he should get a discount on his appointments. :D
  • Hi Beaver....I get asked these ??? all the time as Im only 42...I rave about the Dr who I have
My Dr has now a 2 year waiting list for any new patients and if it wasnt for him I would be in a wheelchair by now..
  • It's really great that people are genuinely interested. I have found at 41, 2 microdiscectomies, and a very slow recovery, that I get a lot of questions too....people are amazed at how much I know and while I never give out medical advice, I am able to describe things pretty good.

I have also helped people just learn the basics about getting an ergonimically 'good' chair at work which has improved their back pain tremendously.

Charge commission? Darn, that's a good thought!!
