Spine-health is excited to announce that our first live SI Joint Virtual Office Hour had an excellent turnout. SI-BONE representatives and Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist Dr. Nick Shamie joined us on 5/24/11, sharing their insights and answers on Sacroiliac (SI) joint topics: when lower back complaints might be caused by the SI joint, how SI joint problems are diagnosed, treatment options for the SI joint, preventive advice and more.

  • Why wasn't this done in our regular chat so that people who come here at a regular time, get an opportunity to ask questions of a real doc. I have noticed that chat itself hasn't been very busy and this could bring some people back. Just a thought. Cause I know it has the Spine Health Logo but why not in our chat?
  • Ell,

I sat through that chat and it really worked smooth. The problem in our regular chat would be others popping in and talking about other things. We had a surgeon whom used to frequent chat and he was boom barded with questions, and then there were other chats going on at the same time. This way for those reading along and have questions it stays on the one topic. If your interested there is another session coming up, if you look on the left hand side, of the forums, it will show the date, if memory serves me correctly it is coming up here in a few weeks in October.
  • I missed this! Is there going to be another one soon Tam? How did it go with the chat, did a lot of people attend? I hope it went very well. Great idea!

  • Mari,

The announcements will show up on the side of the page, and it is not in regular chat, but a different section of the forum. You sign that you want to attend then click the link and your in, works really well. There was another one not long ago, but missed it, but more will becoming.
