9 level fusion

Hi

I just found out that the disc between L-5, S-1 is less than 1/16" thick and I face a big decission. At the rate the disc is disolving it may self fuse, but my pain management specialist says I'll be begging for surgey before that happens. I'm already fused for 8 levels with instrumentation from L-5 up. I also have an anterior spur on S-1 that is causing a lot of problems. What I really need to know is if there is anyone else out there fused from S-1 up several levels and how it affects thier life. I already know fusion changes everything and all that. My big concern is if I will be able to bend enough to be able to ride my motorcycle? It's not the best thing for a guy with the back I already have but I'm willing to deal with the pain in order to enjoy something I love to do. I'm scared I won't be able to bend and ride at all. Anybody that can give me some insight I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
