Help with MRI results

ppppp Posts: 2
Have had back pain with left leg and thigh radiculopathy for almost 2 years. In March 2010 had an emg which showed some nerve damage. WAs told this would heal in 1-2 years. Finally had an Mri done. Minimal left subarticular disc protrusion at L2 L3 (no axial images available). Suspects it may cause minimal indentation the left anterior thecal sac and is certainly above the level of the left L3 nerve root lateral recess. What does this mean and why do I still have pain and weakness in leg? Thanks!
