Surgery In August

Hi Everyone,

I'm having surgery the first week in August to remove the screws from my 2 level lumbar fusion. I also have a plate & Cage. Will they take out the cage as well as the screws, or is the cage something that will always be left in. I have been in allot of pain since my fusion in June of 2010.
Thank you for any ideas you may have.
By the way I'm 60 years young and have Osteoporosis so I think my surgeon is somewhat concerned that something might collapse.
