Questions, questions.. should I go back to the doc?

I had a microdiscectomy on May 22. I am now 4 months out in my recovery. I can do the slump test without any nerve pain going down my leg, occasionally it does give me pain inside my spine. I can function with the pain I have but my questions are as such:

I still have a very numb foot, normal I know, but when I go to exercise it becomes VERY numb. Not only that but both my legs from the top of my thighs down become weak and numb. I also have nerve pain now in both hamstrings. Prior to surgery it was only in my left leg and it was from my back down, but only from the bottom of my bum down. Still nerve pain in calf and foot on left side. I wake up with only a numb foot but by the end of the day I'm numb and have pain inside my spine. I think my biggest concern is how my legs feel after exercise. I do not want to go to the doctor if I don't need to, if this is just normal healing then I can accept it. I figured all of you knowledgeable people would know what is normal as the spine heals and what is not.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the quick ramble like post!
