Hi! Like many of you all know from reading my posts, I recently had my second PLIF on 9/6/12 where they extended the fusion up a level to L3/L4 and replaced all the hardware. I think he also "cleaned" out the excess bone growth. He gave me the impression that the ONLY thing left that was wrong with my back was/is arthritis, and he was very concerned about the extent of that for my age (34). Anyway, the problem is, I was looking at my myelogram report the surgeon received and it plainly states that there are 2 more bulging discs the he never mentioned! The "new" bulging discs are at L1/L2 and L2/L3. I am currently fused or fusing from L3-S1. I called his office when I found this, because I was just beside myself that he didn't tell me! His reasoning was he didn't say anything because it isn't surgical.... WTH?!?!?! So does this mean I am possibly looking at surgery 3 and maybe surgery 4+? I am still hurting REALLY bad from the previous surgery and don't feel like I am recovering very well. Any help would be awesome!
Thanks in advance!!
