First week back at work after 2 level fusion & ADR - almost 4 weeks post op

Firstly, thanks to those who have asked me to keep posting on my progress. It's so nice to have people who care rather than those who just see you as a bad back whinge!

First week went really well. Making use of my adjustable desk and having plenty of walks. Managed the full 4 mike commute each way on 4 of the 5 days.

I started this week on 6 hour days with the intention on doing 8 hours by next week.

Everyone has been really supportive, had 3 week check ups Monday and X-rays which was all good.

Starting physio Monday for the hip bursitis which is probably the worst bit.

If you have just had surgery keep you chin up - the first two weeks I thought it was a total mistake then very quickly started feeling much better!!

Still a slight nag on the left leg nerve although this isn't constant so when it occurs I'm slowing right down and listening to my body.

Wishing you all a pain free weekend !
