foot pains

Am new here just been in so much pain and been told I have sciatic. Won't be having my MRI till the end of this month.... What I'd like to know is the something to help with the pains in my foot I can't sleep with it and feeling so down.

  • I'm sorry you are in pain and have to wait till your MRI. There isn't much you can do until you speak with your doctor after the MRI. Until then I suggest stretching your legs as much as possible throughout the day, especially the thighs. Also, I find Tylenol PM helps me sleep when I'm unable to due to my back. It would probably be best to check with your primary care doctor (just call the nurse) to be sure it is safe for you with your medical history. Best of luck to you.
33yo mom of two. My surgical history...preadolescence scoliosis, kyphosis, and a hot mess.... 5 spine surgeries and lots of items added I wasn't born with (titanium, peek, surgical steel). Guess cremation is out. TSA loves me.

Any kind of stretching you can do is of help. Socks, and find a pair of loose slip on shoes preferably no laces. I have to wear slippers all the time, going barefoot anymore is just miserable for me. Went barefoot all my life and now can't stand it cause it hurts so much.
Hope some of thus helps. YouTube has some great sciatica stretches you can do. You will havehave to do these at least 3 or more tines a day for any benefit. If you can get your MRI sped up do so. The faster you get treated the better.

    ** Warning **

Before you start any exercise program, you need to discuss it with your doctor first to get their approval.
What may sound like a simple and harmless exercise may be very helpful to him, but can be very dangerous to you or someone else
