April 17,2013 i had an anterior and posterior fusion. I had the fusion because they found i had a cracked vertebrae and disc jumped out. I had been having a horrible amount of pain for over a year and headaches everyday for the same amount of time and they were getting worse and worse everyday. When i had the surgery the doctor found out it was then they thought and and my vertebrae had cracked in half and floating. After my surgery i felt 10x better and i am thinking it was i was more focused on the pain from the surgery that i didnt notice the headaches and pain in my neck still. after about a month and a half i started getting headaches again everyday and the pain in my neck started to increase again. i had more tests done to see if something happened. well recently i was told that the doctor didnt think i had fused and wanted to have a ct spec scan done. in the meantime i had a cervical epideral block done and the doc that did that stated yet again that he didnt think i was fused wither and was not sure why the doctor that did my fusion only put screws on one side and not both, and told me that doctor didnt do me any good. the block did not work for me though:( so i had the ct spec scan done and got the results back yesterday. now im upset because i have called 3 days in a row to talk to the doctor to see what they have found out and have not got any calls back. I decided to get a copy of the report and i can not understand what it means lol. I am curious if any of you can help me out with this.

this is what it says.....the patient is status post anterior fusion at c4-c6. Mild increased uptake about the fusion site is identified consistent with post surgical change. No other area of abnormal uptake in the cervical spine is identified.

Some mild degenerative AC joint uptake is noted, No other area of abnormal uptake is identified in the axial skeleton. No other area of abnormal uptake identified. IMPRESSION:

1. Probable postsurgical uptake at the level of the patients anterior fusion from c4 to c6. Mild degenerative uptake in the AC joints. otherwise unremarkable.

If anyone can give me any advice i would really appreciate it, I am in more pain then i think i should be in at this point and feel something is not right . Also keep in mind too I have lost almost all my strength in my left hand and arm and am weak and tingling.
