I am new to this and hope that someone may relate to how I feel. I hope to connect with others who feel the same or have some kind of answer. Brief description on how I feel: Two years ago I had neck/spine surgery. some symptoms are gone, but new ones have invaded my total existence. I sleep intermittent through the night. I get head aches that last for 3 or more days about 4 times a month, they feel like an ice pick is being shoved up through my head. I get weird spasms that start in the base of my neck and shoot up through my head. I get spasms that are under my left shoulder blade that feel similar to hitting my funny bone. I get spasms in my left fore arm and elbow. My arms fall to sleep when I lay on my back. I cannot do anything for more than a half hour without increasing pain. The pain in my spine, neck, shoulder, and left arm and hand is awful. The pain in my spine and at the base of my neck is nauseating. There are too many symptoms to list and I said I would keep this brief, so lets move on. My medical team thinks I should be fine. The x-rays, CT Scans, MRI's, and EMGs are all fine - the fusion looks okay to them. Yet I feel so terrible all the time. My pain level is listed at 7. I am currently on a muscle relaxant because they feel my "symptoms" are muscle related. The only thing this medication does is makes me feel drowsy, all the symptoms are still there. Every thing I say to the medical team is barely heard and all they focus on is my muscles. I have gone through chiropractor care, physical therapy and am currently seeing a PMR doctor.
