  • 6 weeks out from spine surgery, there is commonly a flare up of pain but it depends on the type of surgery, what kind of pain it is and where it is located.
  • thank you sandi I had a hemilaminectomy

  • Post surgical pains are common. I think that makes it hard to know what one should do about any sharp pains or weakness that you feel. No one on this forum can give you specific medical advise on your pains. If you have questions, you need to talk to the doctor. Your pain could be part of the healing process and likely is, but it could be something that needs addressing.
The fact that you raised this question on this forum means that you are probably feeling something that worries you. Call your doctor's office and see if your doctor thinks they should see you.
