I just wondered if there was anybody out there that has had a four level fusion of their neck. I know that's probably a dumb question but I would really like some information so I know what I'm getting myself into. I was wondering how your flexibility is after having it done, that's my main concern. And how was your throat after having it done, I have heard of some people that had problems with swallowing afterward. And if you had to do it again would you do it. My pain Doctor just wants to continue to give me injections, and up my mg of morphine so that I sleep all the time. But I know that that is just covering up the real problem. Now just since my MRI last March that revealed the four herniated disc's in my neck, and two more in my lumbar, my arms now fall asleep all the time but even worse at night because if I don't hold my neck just right it causes excruciating pain down my arms. I don't know how much more I can take of this pain. How do I tell my pain Doc, that has been very good to me, that I'm going to have surgery and go against his wishes. I hope he understands but I don't know if he will. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Oh also if there's anybody out there that knows of a great surgeon in the Michigan, Indiana, Ohio area, if you could PM me that would be great too. Thanks.
