Hi, my name is Lisa, but my screen name is mrskorba, I love being married and being called mrskorba. Im finally getting real help with my back pain and problems. I know it says on here you cant ask for help with your tests and results. But I am wondering if its ok to ask a question, Ive been searching online and would ask my PCP but she ships me out for everything and I plan on making an appointment to see her as soon as I can. Im just confused by the wording on the report. It says one thing and everything Ive seen online says something different. Im not sure where to go to find out what it means. When I searched online for something similar it showed me a very close question being asked in your group. But I dont want to ask it if its not allowed and get in trouble right away. Are we allowed to share our Mri results at least? FInd out who else has had the same problems and what they have had done to try and fix them? Personal experiences so to speak? I will tell you all the diagnoses that I do for sure have but they are not all back related and I hope its ok. I just found out most of these within the past 2 years or so. I have Bipolar 1, Generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, ADHD inattentive, Fibromyalgia, severe memory loss, low blood pressure. I have found out I have DDD arthritis of some kind, I think its ankylosing spondilitis, Im having a very hard time getting into a rheumy. I am hla-b27 negative, but 7 uncles, my paternal grandma, my dad, my sister and my nephew all have the AS diagnosis. I have had a failed SI injection from my first pain dr. I have had trigger point injections for my fibro in my upper back and shoulders they only lasted 3 hours. I have had 2 steroid epidural lumbar injections, the first one only lasting 7 days, the 2nd one I just got today and I am hurting so bad, and it hurt very bad during it. I felt like my leg was going to explode. I take alot of medications for all my illnesses daily. I also take a muscle relaxer and a pain pill which doesnt help much. I am gonna ask my pcp for a back specialist referral. Ive been seeing her for years now and she has told me I have had many health issues but has never written them in my files. I was told in her xray room about 5-6 years ago she seen arthritis in my back and hips but nothing was ever done for it nor written down. And everything is so bad now, I can barely walk or stand anymore and Im only 39. I have 3 kids and Im going to be a Gramma in June! I need to get better somehow. So any help you can give me I would greatly appreciate. I also plan on going over this message board with a fine tooth comb in the next few days! Thank you for making this page!

hey mrskorba, rheumy are typically a long wait time to get in. If you have not seen a rheumy yet , who diagnosed you with fibro ?

My old Pcp did. He did all the trigger point tests and started me on cymbalta. That was quite a few years ago. Then I lost my insurance and had to slowly get off the cymbalta. Then I got my insurance back last year and my psych dr prescribed it right away to help with my pain and depression, and went up to 90 and the flares went away, a month or so ago he lowered me to 60 to start me on a new bipolar depression med and was worried it would all be too much together and that sent me into a nasty flare. So I begged him to to let me go back up and since then its been slowly starting to go away.

Fibro is a tough diagnosis that can have many, many mimics out there , some that a PCP does not have the training or knowledge in. Its always good to get a second opinion on this matter from a fibro specialist just to confirm the diagnosis the PCP gave.

I dont think anyone has seen your post, it may not be in the best place hun. I would maybe repost it in its own post. The way it is right now. Its under my original new here post. And I am so not complaining about that at all! I just want you to have your question answered! Maybe make a brand new post in the back and neck surgery forum. Or a brand new post in the New here forum. If you put it under my post no one can see it as your own post and can answer it just for you. I hope this can help you!
