Synovial Cyst Definition
A synovial cyst is a small, fluid-filled sac that can develop over joint or tendon, creating a mass under the skin. This type of cyst is benign (non-malignant) and the symptoms may remain stable and not progress for long periods of time. Depending on their size and location, they may or may not be painful.
