Many members post new discussions asking if it should be ok to return to

  • Weight lifting
  • Gym equipment
  • Horseback riding
  • Motorcycle
  • Basketball
  • etc

There is no on on this site that can give you a definite answer.   Every situation is different.  What might be ok for one person may cause a lot of problems for another.

Before you attempt to go back to something you did before or try something new, ALWAYS consult with your doctor to get their APPROVAL

If you are talking about going back to the gym , after your doctor's approval and restrictions, make sure you communicate that with the personnel at the gym!
They dont know your medical history, and without any information they will probably handle you like any other client.  New machine, heavier load, etc..   That
would be a recipe for disaster.

ALWAYS get the APPROVAL of your doctor before going back to something you used to do or something you would like to do.

  • I was going to the gym 5 days/week before I got leg pain and I'm worried to go back and don't even want to do more than walking until a year after my upcoming surgery!
