Advice on mattresses

I suffer from Degenerative Disk Disease L4/5 Disks.I also get pain in my hips so after years of waking up every morning in a lot of pain I’m wondering if I should change my mattress?? I have a memory foam mattress which is 10 years old & it doesn’t seem to give me any support for my back or hips.I also sleep with a pillow between my knees which someone at the pain clinic advised will keep my spine in alignment yet mornings for me can be hell at times where I can’t even bend down to put my slippers on.Any advice or help would be very much appreciated I’ve always found everyone on this site so helpful & friendly. Also I’m a side sleeper & can only sleep on my left side at the moment as I have a right frozen shoulder.
