Exercise after surgery

I am 4 week out from a L4/L5 TLIF. I have been walking with a walker 30 min. Twice a day at least outside.  We have had a ton of rain so sometimes I can’t get out to walk. I have a stationary recumbent bike.  I am wondering if I could ride it at this stage.  Has anyone tried that.

  • I found the recumbent position to be uncomfortable after surgery. I’d check with your surgeon first to make sure he/she is ok with it. Walking helped me tremendously...there’s only so much sitting you can do post-op without going crazy!

Keep up the good work, sounds like you are doing great!
