A couple of months ago, I stupidly lifted a heavy box by bending just at the waist. The next day my back ached and I think it gradually got better. However, at the gym a few weeks ago I lifted a heavy dumbell (30kg) badly and now my lower back has a persistent throbbing. Worse still, I wake up in the morning and it seems to hurt more yet seems to go away a bit if I go walking.
I've had a pretty decent mattress for over two years now. Could my mattress be causing this to linger?
I've strained my lower back twice before and was bedbound for two weeks. It took a while but it did eventually heal.
